HBL PSL T20: Lahore Qalandars win after Umar Akmal's 40-ball 93

Lahore Qalandars got aboard the PSL bandwagon bouncing back after two losses with an emphatic 63-run win against unbeaten Quetta Gladiators in Dubai on Monday night.

Qalandars got their act together by piling a PSL record total of 194-3 thanks to a breathtaking half century from Umar Akmal (93) who smashed eight sixes and six boundaries in his 40-ball power packed innings.

Delport showed the way with a belligerent 55-ball 73 sharing in a partnership of 95 with Akmal as Lahore plundered 132 in the last 10 overs.

Quetta made a valiant bid to chase the daunting target and were in the hunt when Nawaz (42) and Sarfraz (31) during a 64-run alliance before their run chase floundered once they departed.

Gohar had a haul of four for 14 and Mendis 3 for 13.

Nawaz is showing off his all round skills with two sizzling boundaries on either side of the wicket off Hammad.

Mendis has been hit for a couple of boundaries in his opening over. Gladiators 69-3, 9 overs.

Sarfraz brings up the 50 of the innings by sweeping Zohaib for a six over midwicket. Gladiators 51-3, 7 overs.

Lahore are celebrating after getting the prized wicket of Pietersen who miscues Bravo. Gladiators 37-3. 5.4 overs.

Cameron Delport began the onslaught slamming eight boundaries and three sixes in his 55-ball 73 during a partnership of 95 with Akmal.

Qalandars plundered 132 runs during the last 10 overs when Akmal was in full cry.

South African southpaw Delport is turning it on dancing down the track to hit Nabi into the second tier followed by a boundary. Qaland 86-1, 12 overs.

Delport has smashed Babar for a couple of boundaries to bring up his half century. Qaland 72-1, 11 overs.

It's raining boundaries from the blade of Delport before Azhar is undone by a short ball from Gul. Qalan 62-1, 10 overs.
