The world's leading sport journalists will assemble in UAE for the Dubai International Sports Media Forum to be held on January 30 and 31.
President of the World Association of Sports Journalists Gianni Merlo will be among the leading speakers at the confab.
Dr Ahmed Al Sharif, general secretary of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), said this event is being held to enhance sports media in the UAE.
“Media has always been a top priority for the Dubai Sports Council and this is the first time we are doing something directly for the media,” Al Sharif said.
The international forum is being jointly organised by the DSC and the UAE Sports Media Committee and will be held at the Movenpick Hotel Dubai.
UAE Sports Media Committee President Abdallah Ibrahim thanked the DSC for organising the forum and said that the sports council is doing very good work in all the sports fields.
The media briefing was also attended by Ahmad Al Rahoomi, director of Corporate Communication and International Relations Department, DSC, and Muhammad Al Joker, secretary general of UAE Sports Media Committee.
