Godolphin on Monday declared 21 runners for seven races on the Dubai World Cup card at Meydan on Saturday.

There are four Godolphin horses going for glory in the world’s richest race, the $10-million Dubai World Cup sponsored By Emirates Airline over 10 furlongs on Tapeta - Capponi, Monterosso, Prince Bishop and Mendip, according to godolphin.com.

Ahmed Ajtebi, successful on Capponi in the Group One Al Maktoum Challenge Round Three over the same course and distance on March 10, retains the ride on the Medicean horse who carries Godolphin’s first colours on Saturday.

Capponi’s trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni also saddles the 2011 Dubai World Cup third Monterosso, partnered again by Mickael Barzalona, while Saeed bin Suroor is represented by both Prince Bishop (Frankie Dettori) and Mendip (Silvestre de Sousa).

The $5-million Dubai Duty Free on turf sees three Godolphin representatives, headed by Delegator (Frankie Dettori) who tries nine furlongs for the first time. The Saeed bin Suroor-trained six-year-old is joined by stable companion Rio De La Plata (Silvestre de Sousa) plus City Style (Mickael Barzalona) from Mahmood Al Zarooni’s Marmoom Stables.

The Dubai Sheema Classic presented by Longines is the other $5-million event on the card and the 12-furlong contest on turf also has three Godolphin runners - Shimraan (Mahmood Al Zarooni - Mickael Barzalona), Songcraft (Saeed bin Suroor - Silvestre de Sousa) and Cavalryman (Saeed bin Suroor - Frankie Dettori).

Two horses trained in Australia by Peter Snowden will wear the Godolphin silks on Dubai World Cup evening and Kerrin McEvoy rides both Sepoy and Helmet.

Sepoy lines up in the Group One Dubai Golden Shaheen sponsored by Gulf News, worth $2-million, over six furlongs on Tapeta. A second Godolphin candidate for this sprint is Soul (Saeed bin Suroor - Frankie Dettori).

Helmet goes for the $2-million UAE Derby sponsored by the Saeeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group, over an extended nine furlongs on Tapeta, alongside two Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained three-year-olds, the filly Falls Of Lora (Mickael Barzalona) and the colt Kinglet (Frankie Dettori).

The Godolphin Mile sponsored by Etislat, in which Godolphin has a splendid record, opens the thoroughbred racing on the evening and Saeed bin Suroor has three runners in the event on Tapeta - African Story (Frankie Dettori), Do It All (Silvestre De Sousa) and Sandagiyr (Mickael Barzalona).

The Dubai Gold Cup, run over two miles on turf, also has three Godolphin contenders - Opinion Poll (Frankie Dettori) and Fox Hunt (Silvestre de Sousa), who are both trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni, and Grand Vent (Mickael Barzalona) from Saeed bin Suroor’s Al Quoz Stables.
