China's Wang Shixian stunned world number one Wang Xin to win the women's Asian Games badminton gold Saturday as India inflicted more pain on arch-rivals Pakistan in the field hockey.

Wang's victory helped push China's gold medal haul to 129 while success at road cycling and the golf helped South Korea extend their tally to 50 with  Japan on 26.
So far, 30 of the 45 nations and territories in Guangzhou have got themselves on the podium, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Laos.

World number four Wang Shixian upset her more illustrious and experienced teammate 21-18, 21-15 to take the women's badminton honours.
Hong Kong's Yip Pui Yin and Eriko Hirose shared bronze.

"I can't say that I was not nervous but I tried to relax," said winner Wang. "I've got a lot of experience from the Asian Games. It will strengthen me in the future."
The men play the semi-finals later with world number one Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia up against China's world number two Chen Jin while pin-up Lin Dan takes on South Korea's Park Sung-Hwan.

Lin, who has won world and Olympic titles but never an Asiad crown, is wary of Park.
"He is a very dangerous opponent, because he is an excellent athlete," said the Chinese star.
"Although he is not as famous as Lee Chong Wei and Chen Jin, he must be a dark horse, so it is very tough to compete with him."
The men's doubles gold medal will also be decided and it will go to either Malaysia or Indonesia with the top-ranked Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong facing Markis Kido and his partner Hendra Setiawan.

China, meanwhile, is poised to sweep of all seven table tennis gold medals after victories for both their men and women in the singles semi-finals.

They have already won the men's and women's team events as well as the men's, women's and mixed doubles.
In the women's semis, Li Xiaoxia crushed South Korea's Kim Kyung-Ah 11-8, 11-7, 11-5, 11-5 and will meet Chinese teammate Guo Yue in the final after Guo beat Japan's Ai Fukuhara.

Ma Long was relentless as he romped to a straightforward victory over South Korea's Joo Sae-Hyuk in the men's semis and now meets fellow Chinese Wang Hao.
At the Aoti Hockey Field, India stormed into the semi-finals with a 3-2 win over Pakistan, their fourth success over their arch-rivals this year.

India won 4-1 at the World Cup in March, then beat them 4-2 at the Azlan Shah tournament before dishing out a 7-4 hammering at last month's Commonwealth Games.
The Pakistanis, who returned home from New Delhi complaining of rude behaviour by Indian fans during the Games, were desperate to turn the tables on neutral territory.

The result came as three women field hockey players from Kazakhstan were ejected from the Games for representing two nations this year.
The trio, Annastassia Chsherbakova, Yuliya Mikheichik and Alessya Pyotukh, admitted to having played for Belarus in the World Cup qualifying tournament in April.

It was a South Korea 1-2 in the road cycling with Lee Min-Hye winning the women's individual time trial and Choe Hyeong-Min collecting the men's version.
More Korean success came on the golf course where they swept all four titles, including the men's and women's team events for the second Games in succession.

Kim Meen-Whee won the men's individual gold while Kim Hyun-Soo clinched the women's tournament.
