Longines is no stranger to Meydan, having also sponsored the season-opening Dubai World Cup Carnival meeting on January 10.

The company is also a major presence on the March 30 Dubai World Cup day, the richest day of horseracing in the world, getting behind the Group 1 US$5m Dubai Sheema Classic, presented by Longines.

Walter von Känel, President of Longines said: “We are looking forward to returning to Meydan Racecourse for the second time this season in the frame of our long-term partnership with Meydan Group. It is always a pleasure to witness great moments of racing at Meydan Racecourse.”

Malih Al Basti, Board Member, Meydan Group and Chairman of the Racing Committee, said: “As a supporter of international racing at the Dubai World Cup Carnival as well as domestic racing as part of the Racing at Meydan meetings, Longines is paving the way for the continued development of the sport in Dubai.
