In a landmark move, TNT Express, the leading global Express Company, have signed the first Official Supplier’s sponsorship agreement with the UAE National Olympic Committee (NOC).

The three-year agreement will see TNT as the exclusive logistics supplier of the NOC’s freight and delivery needs throughout the region, leading into the upcoming Pan Arab games, and through the 2012 Olympic Games to be held in London.

This agreement will see TNT fly the UAE Olympic flag across their delivery vehicles, as well as be positioned prominently on their employee uniforms. TNT will also have access to and exposure through additional UAE Olympic Committee activities conducted throughout the term.

Bryan Moulds, Managing Director TNT Middle East, recognises the community and commercial synergies woven into the Olympic movement.

“The Olympic spirit carries many strong messages; drive, passion and an unwavering commitment to your goals, messages that align with the strategies and goals of TNT” said Moulds.

“We are very proud to have a long and successful history in the UAE and through this partnership we are pleased to be able to put something back in, to deliver the UAE NOC’s message and assist with the development of today’s, and future, UAE elite athletes.”

For the NOC this partnership provides them with added commercial support to deliver on a variety of their goals, which includes ensuring top athlete preparation for international competitions, support the establishment of physical education and sports programmes and promote the UAE’s Olympic movement to the community.

“We are exceptionally pleased to partner with TNT. Their commitment provides a strong endorsement to the UAE NOC,” said Saeed Abdul Ghaffer Hussein, Secretary General UAE NOC.

“This is the beginning of an integral relationship which will play a significant role in the NOC achieving its ongoing strategic goals, from spreading the Olympic message to our children through to the ongoing performance development of our representative athletes.”
