It’s good news for private sector workers who were eager to be a part of Dubai’s annual National Day parade.

With the 42nd National Day holiday now confirmed for the private sector as December 1, organisers have now shifted the parade a day earlier to ensure that everyone can participate in the event being held at the Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai.

Dubai Calendar and Emaar have confirmed the change to Emirates24|7 with the parade now a day earlier than the December 2 National Day, which will welcome participation by schools, government entities, corporations, CSR associations, bikers’ clubs and more.

An Emaar rep also stated the parade will be held from 3pm until 5pm on the day.

For those wondering about the details, the venue is the 3.5km loop between The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and Emaar Square.

Confirmed entertainment on the day will include the famous ‘dirham’ coin car, motorbikes and camels and horses and for the very first time, a Formula 1 car courtesy the Emaar partnership with Lotus F1 team.

Those attending can head over to the Burj Park post the parade, where the Happiest Nation event will commence at 6pm.

The free show will begin with a glimpse into the history of the UAE and will give the audiences a glimpse into important aspects of the UAE’s past with the use of a number of surprises along the way.

The performance will be accompanied by a show of fireworks and will be topped off by giving commemorative gifts to everyone in attendance.

Parking for the events will be available at the Dubai Mall or the underground parking area of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard stated Emaar on its events website.
