TDIC chairman hosts Louvre Museum chief

Tourism Development and Investment Company’s (TDIC) Chairman of the Board Ali Majed Al Mansoori on Tuesday hosted the President of the Musee du Louvre Jean Luc Martinez for a meeting in the company’s headquarters, in the presence of representatives from TDIC, Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) and the Musee du Louvre.

Among the topics discussed included the museum’s construction progress achieved on site. To date, work has been completed on the museum’s main gallery spaces, the basement levels, and the security screening facility through which all the artworks will be transported into the main building. Moreover, the cladding progress on the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s iconic dome is in its final stages, with the work slated for completion in June 2015.

Al Mansoori also hosted the visiting delegation on a tour of TDIC’s Experience Centre, which highlights all of the company’s leading developments across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
