2,000 triathletes 'escape from Alcatraz'

UNITED STATES, San Francisco: While it operated as a prison, no one ever successfully ever made an "Escape from Alcatraz". This time around, the term refers not to a jailbird's flight, but an extreme triathlon. On Sunday some 2,000 athletes braved the swim from Alcatraz Island across the bay to San Francisco, before cycling and running through the city by the Bay.
