Suicide bid foiled in Saudi

A Nigerian man climbed to the rooftop of a six-storey building in Saudi Arabia and threatened to jump down but was stopped by the Civil Defence.

A YouTube film showed the Civil Defence deployed men and equipment, including a massive air bag, while a large crowd held their breath after seeing the man standing on the edge of the rooftop.

“He was threatening to jump down but the suicide attempt was aborted after civil defence men persuaded him to change his mind,” the Arabic language daily Sabq said in a report from the Western town of Media.
