Video: Old man cries on air over dead wife

An old Saudi man abruptly stopped talking and burst into crying during a live local TV programme when he remembered his wife who died many years ago.

A brief U-Tube film carried by the Saudi Arabic language daily Alsaudeh showed the man, identified as Abu Rasheed, was asked by the presenter of the programme “Bedaya” (beginning) what he wishes if he were 30 years younger.

“I wish to see my wife, with whom I had lived 37 years,” he said, before he started to cry in front of the presenter and other guests at the programme.

When he stopped crying and wiped tears in his eyes, he continued:”I swear to God that I had never gone to bed angry with her for one single night during our marriage life.”
