Video: Saudia passenger jet hit by lightning

A Saudia passenger aircraft was struck by lightning just before landing at a domestic airport, triggering screams by its passengers.

A YouTube film published by ‘Ajel’ newspaper showed the plane was on its way to land at the airport in the Northwestern Tabuk town when it was struck by lightning.

Ajel said the film went viral on social media and that the cabin crew tried to calm the passengers down after the brief lighting strike that caused baggage to fall off.
