Abu Dhabi Police foil attempt to smuggle 2.6m Captagon pills
Abu Dhabi Police foiled an attempt to smuggle 2.6 million Captagon pills from the UAE to a neighbouring country.
Brigadier Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of Criminal Investigation Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the two Arab suspects were arrested while loading the drugs on to a truck.
''The two smugglers were arrested following close investigation, surveillance and intelligence gathering by a joint team from anti-narcotics forces from Abu Dhabi Police and Dubai Police,'' he added.
Borshid said that the suspects were paid US$50,000 to carry out illegal operations for another person residing in a neighbouring country.
