What is Dubai Media Incorporated’s main objective in launching Dubai+? 
Dubai+ reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to accelerate digital transformation and position Dubai as a global hub for content creation. It is the cornerstone of Dubai Media Inc’s evolution into a future-ready media organisation, delivering on the goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda, D33.

At its core, Dubai+ is our gateway to the future. It brings all of Dubai Media’s channels and content into a single, integrated digital ecosystem, built to global standards and accessible anytime, anywhere, across devices. It balances innovation with cultural identity, and scale with purpose.

In a crowded streaming market, what competitive advantage does the platform offer?
Dubai+ fills a clear gap in the market for trusted, family-safe, locally-grounded and premium Arabic content that global platforms do not adequately serve for Emirati and Arab families.

It offers safe, high-quality content that parents trust and children enjoy, making it a primary destination rather than a secondary option.

What does Dubai+ offer audiences?
Dubai+ offers a fully integrated entertainment experience. Audiences can access original and exclusive productions, live TV channels, major sports events and global tournaments, and a library of more than 30,000 hours of Emirati, Arab, and international series and films. This breadth ensures a rich viewing experience that caters to a wide range of tastes.
How will Dubai+ retain subscribers with six original productions, compared to global platforms investing billions?
Our strategy prioritises quality and impact over volume, supported by Dubai Media Incorporated’s strong production infrastructure and long-term content partnerships. Rather than overwhelming audiences with large volumes of content, we treat each original production as a tentpole moment designed to become a milestone event that audiences actively anticipate.
In the first year alone, Dubai+ will release 12 original productions, alongside a steady pipeline of GCC and MENA exclusives and co-exclusive series. This ensures there is always fresh, relevant content for viewers to discover, while reinforcing Dubai+ as a destination for premium Arabic storytelling with consistent new releases throughout the year.

What comes after the launch of Dubai+?
The launch of Dubai+ is only the beginning. The platform will continue to evolve alongside its audiences, creators, and Dubai’s ambitions. Content, features, and partnerships will expand year on year, with the goal of positioning Dubai+ as one of the leading Arabic digital entertainment platforms in the region and beyond.

Why launch the platform at this specific time?
There are both strategic and commercial considerations to the launch of Dubai+. 

Audience behavior has shifted decisively toward on-demand digital consumption. At the same time, demand is growing for trusted, family-safe Arabic content that reflects Arab societal values. Beyond responding directly to this shift, Dubai+ opens up new avenues for sustainable growth and diversified revenue for our organization within the digital media landscape.

What does Dubai+ add to the market alongside existing platforms?
We are offering a more purposeful and safer alternative to the market. Our distinction lies in an uncompromising focus on diverse, family-safe content that authentically reflects Emirati and Arab identity, alongside an extensive library of entertainment, sports, and live broadcasting – all in one destination. This commitment extends beyond our local productions to the global content we carefully curate for the platform.

How much of the content is original versus licensed?
At launch, the platform features over 20 exclusive titles, six original productions, and more than 170 new titles from global markets. It also includes Arabic and Egyptian classics, Turkish drama, and a wide range of international content.
Dubai+ further offers the extensive library of Arabic classics from Dubai Media Incorporated, alongside live channels and programs from Dubai TV and Sama Dubai.
Audiences can access a wide selection of content free of charge through an ad-supported model (AVOD), while a paid subscription (SVOD) provides an ad-free experience and unlocks original productions, exclusive titles, and premium content. All exclusive and original content is available within the subscription offering, ensuring added value for subscribers.


Is Dubai+ available across mobile devices worldwide?
Yes. Dubai+ is built with a mobile-first mindset and offers a seamless on-demand experience across smartphones, tablets, and connected devices. Content discovery and access are fast and seamless, to elevate user experience and give audiences flexibility in how and when they watch.

 

Will the platform be free or subscription-based?
Dubai+ operates on a flexible hybrid model with both AVOD and SVOD offering. Audiences can enjoy a wide range of free, ad-supported content, alongside competitively priced subscription options that unlock original productions, exclusive titles, and major sports tournaments on demand. Subscription packages are offered at competitive prices, with a monthly subscription priced at AED 21 and an annual subscription available for AED 210, providing greater long-term value and enhancing accessibility to premium content.
