UAE's telecommunications provider du on Friday confirmed that all its Blackberry services, for both Consumer and Enterprise customers, will continue to operate as normal and no suspension of service will occur on October 11.
A statement from Du welcomed the notification from UAE's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) for uninterrupted Blackberry services in the UAE.
"Since the TRA's August 1 announcement regarding the possible suspension of certain Blackberry services, our focus has always been to ensure continuity of service for our customers", said Du.
TRA had confirmed earlier today that Blackberry services are now compliant with the UAE's telecommunications regulatory framework.
