UAE telecom operator du has issued a statement stating: “We are glad to update our customers that as per the latest update available from the impacted submarine cable operators, all the cable systems experiencing faults are now functioning at normal capacity.
“We would like to thank our customers for their support and regret the inconvenience caused.”
Du customers are reported to have faced a disruption to their internet connections due to issues with underwater sea cables.
On Friday, November 15, du issued a statement saying, “We would like to alert our customers that as per latest information available from submarine cable operators, few cable systems are experiencing faults affecting internet bandwidth and repair activity is currently underway.
“While we have taken all measures to minimise the impact by provisioning additional capacity and re-routing internet traffic through alternate routes, some customers may experience temporary slowness and high latency during peak hours in the evening.
“We are in touch with the cable operators and continuously monitoring the situation. We will provide an update at the earliest. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
