Etisalat launches Global Data Plan

Etisalat has today launched a new ‘Global Data Plan’ that offers post-paid mobile customers the convenience of local data, roaming data and unlimited Wi-Fi in a single package.

The new plan is the first of its kind in the UAE. It offers a pocket-friendly alternative to different data packages that customers need to buy every time they travel.

It includes 10GB data for local use, 1GB of roaming data, unlimited local WiFi and unlimited roaming eWiFi for only AED500 per month. 1 GB roaming data included in the plan can be used on Etisalat’s extensive network of 248 preferred roaming partners in 106 countries.

Etisalat’s new Global Data plan eliminates the need to buy local or roaming WiFi separately.

Khaled ElKhouly, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat, said, "We are excited about our new Global Data plan which is the UAE’s first plan that combines local and roaming data and offers customers significant value for money.

We have accounted for the high volume of data our customers use when they travel. Therefore, we launched a plan that offers convenience of use and at the same time, helps prevent bill shocks due to accidental use of local mobile data abroad.”

Customers can subscribe to the new plan by sending an SMS – ‘CDP’ - to 1010 or by dialling *170*10#, and check their data balance for local as well as roaming allowances by dialling *170*1#. The plan is available on a minimum three-month commitment.
