Etisalat launches new Hajj and Omra roaming pack

Etisalat has announced Hajj and Omra roaming calls and data pack for customers travelling to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage. The two-week pack gives 200 minutes of incoming and outgoing voice calls and 1GB mobile data allowance during the pilgrimage.

The telecom operator says that the combined incoming and outgoing voice calls and data pack is the first and only of its kind in the UAE, priced at Dh250.

It noted in a media statement that the roaming pack is applicable to all Etisalat prepaid and post-paid customers, individuals or business accounts.

“A lot of worshippers from the UAE are travelling to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj. We recognise our customers’ desire to stay in touch with their families and friends during one of the most important journeys of their lives,” said Khaled ElKhouly, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat.

He added that customers could “avoid huge roaming bills on calls or data” through this pack.

“The new pack retains benefits of our existing incoming roaming calls and data, but adds the advantage of making outgoing roaming calls without burning a hole in the pocket. It ensures that pilgrims do not have to wait for incoming calls to talk to their loved ones; they can go right ahead and place a call as and when they need to. We wish our customers a blessed Hajj season and safe travels,” ElKhouly concluded.
