Etisalat signs MoU with Huawei

UAE's etisalat has signed a memorandum of understanding with China's Huawei Technologies for strategic cooperation across the telecoms carrier's 18-country footprint, it said on Thursday.

The two companies will work together on network management, cloud computing and applications, etisalat said in a statement.

No financial details of the agreement were provided.

Huawei, the world's No. 2 network equipment maker, previously helped build out etisalat's networks in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Tanzania, Nigeria, Afghanistan.

The Import-Export Bank of China was the third signatory to the agreement.
