Big brand names and retailers will not be the only ones competing at Gitex Shopper Spring this year. The event aims to discover the region’s best dance talent, with the winner to be announced live on the final day of the show – Saturday, April 4, 2015.
A live dance-off will see the top three finalists competing for the title of UAE’s best dancer in front of the Gitex Shopper Spring crowd, who will ultimately determine the winner. The winner will dance away with Dh10,000 to spend at Emax Electronics; while second and third place winners will get Dh5,000 and Dh3,000 vouchers respectively. The competition is open to all ages young and old and for all types of dancing.
“There’s no doubt that Gitex Shopper Spring is an action-packed event, and we’re delighted to give our tens of thousands of visitors yet another entertaining reason to come down to show,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Senior Vice-President, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), organiser of GITEX Shopper Spring.
The four-day shopping extravaganza will bring together more than 100 leading consumer IT and electronics brands, with more than 30,000 products on show.
A number of exciting visit and win; scratch and win’ and shop and win competitions will also run concurrently throughout the show, adding to the festive feel. Shoppers have a chance to win bars of gold, shopping vouchers, a range of Samsung products including the Galaxy A5 Smartphone, Tab S, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, printers and monitors and even a Mitsubishi Pajero Elite.
Gitex Shopper Spring 2015 will take place from April 1-4, 2015 and opens from 11.00am – 11.00pm every day.
Tickets are priced at Dh20 per person, which include access to both Gitex Shopper Spring and Shopper Smart Living and are available at the venue and select Emarat outlets. Entry is free for children under the age of five and a dedicated Metro station is just steps away.
