L&T Infotech, the Indian IT services company and a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, the engineering, manufacturing and financial services firm, is expecting its revenue from the GCC to rise from the current 2 per cent to 5 per cent in the next one year.

"This region's contribution to L&T Infotech's total annual revenue of $500 million is about 2 per cent, and we hope it will go up to 5 per cent within the next 12 months," Sudip Banerjee,  CEO, L&T Infotech told 24|7.

On Wednesday, L&T Infotech also announced opening of its Middle East head office located in Dubai Outsource Zone that will offer services such as software development service, ERP consulting and implementation service, testing service, infrastructure management service including remote infrastructure management, and product engineering services.

He said the firm will also be offering IT outsourcing services from its Dubai office and will be hiring from local talent.

"It'll be largely IT outsourcing to start with and business process could follow later. The IT outsourcing would largely cater to oil and gas, manufacturing and construction sector clients in this region," he said.
