Leaked iPhone 6 image confirms 4.7" device

The price of the next iPhone could well increase by almost $100 as Apple is reportedly negotiating with carriers for the same.

According to a recent report quoting Jefferies analyst Peter Misek, although carriers are reluctant to agree for an increase, Apple might after all have its way.

"Our checks indicate Apple has started negotiating with carriers on a $100 iPhone 6 price increase. The initial response has been no, but there seems to be an admission that there is no other game-changing device this year," a report by Business Insider quoting Misek.

However, it is not clear if Apple will increase the price of the 4.7 inch iPhone6 or the larger phablet sized 5.5 inch device, which is also expected to be released later this year.

Meanwhile, there have been more image leaks, and this time, of the front panel of the new device.

A new image of an iPhone 6 front panel confirms that the new phone will be a 4.7-inch device.

The image was leaked on a Chinese forum claiming it to be from a manufacturing plant.

The image confirms earlier rumours that the iPhone 6 will have a 4.7-inch screen and slightly thinner bezels on the side. The rest of the design remains identical to the iPhone 5S. Earlier this month another Chinese website had posted images of an iPhone back cover under production and probably taken at a Foxconn production unit.

Expect more leaks during the coming weeks and months as Apple is expected to start mass production of the next-generation iPhone next month, for a possible release in September.
