New images of BlackBerry's curved Android phone, iPhone 6S

Images of the yet to be launched Android phone by BlackBerry and two new cases of iPhone 6S have emerged online.

Named BlackBerry Venice, the slider was first shown at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, but it later emerged that the slider would be part of the Venice which would, in fact, be an Android phone.

Although initial reports about BlackBerry working on an Android device came out in the middle of last month, this is the first time a detailed image of the device has surfaced.

The image was posted by Evan Blass of Evleaks on Twitter.

“Venice is actually quite the looker,” the post said.

The device is expected to be equipped with an 18MP rear camera, 64-bit Snapdragon 808 processor, a hexa-core 1.8GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM.

The design of the slider is built in such a way that BlackBerry, while managing to retain the physical keyboard option, still gives the user a pretty large screen.

The device is expected to come with a 5.4-inch screen with curved edges, similar to that of Galaxy S6.

BlackBerry has been experiencing a constant downfall with plummeting sales.

The latest quarter saw sales drop to just $1.1 million.

With both the BlackBerry Z10 series and the BlackBerry Passport, failing to lift sales whatsoever, the company should be hoping that the best way to start selling more could be by going Android.

iPhone 6S

There were new image leaks of the forthcoming iPhone 6S that indicated that Apple after all will retain the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus design elements with no major changes.

The image was first published by 9to5mac on its blog.

If correct, the iPhone 6S will neither be equipped with a dual lens camera nor an improvised antenna.
