Solar backpacks to help you stay powered

A curious gadget for power hungry mobile and laptop users at Gitex Shopper 2015 is a new backpack from Enerplex, an American company, making solar power solutions.

Solar backpacks and solar bags are the two attractions at the Plug-Ins counter and the solar plastic product helps mobile users or other electronic gadget users needing power even on top of a mountain.

The backpack add-on can be fixed to any bag used while travelling – it can also be easily hooked to a motorbike or bicycle.

“The EnerPlex Packr Executive is an innovative high-end solar integrated backpack, capable of charging many electronics gadgets in less than 3 hours. Integrated with flexible ‘solar on plastic’, the Packr’s solar is seamlessly incorporated into the pack,” said Sharief Mohammed, Retail Manager, Plug Ins.

“Wherever you go this portable solar back pack can help you charge the mobile phone or other electronic devices. It will charge any smart phones in less than three hours and only sunshine is needed to charge the solar plastic. Stay powered up with ease, it can charge any electronics, cameras or smart phones with USB enabled charging,” he said.

Priced at Dh539 the plastic solar bags come equipped with other facilities like USB port and extra carriage compartments. “This solar plastic solution is attracting visitors who are curious to know more about the functioning. We have displayed it at Gitex Shopper, it will be available in our showrooms later,” he added.
