Strong Indian presence at upcoming Internet Show in Abu Dhabi
Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) of India is initiating several efforts for participation in a big way at Internet Show Abu Dhabi to be held on September 27-28 2011.
“A much focused impressive B2B event of its kind in the Middle East, Internet Show in Abu Dhabi is emerging an ultimate place for business transactions. Naturally, India has a great stake in the booming Middle East, Africa, Asia (WANA Region) and European markets for which Abu Dhabi is the Gateway. Thus the event provides the participating Indian IT companies opportunities for scouting the expanding burgeoning entire Middle East market,” said Kamal Vachani, Regional Director of ESC.
ESC has been participating at the Internet Show in Abu Dhabi and the participating Indian companies under ESC’s banner in 2010 have reported high satisfaction. The participating Indian companies are very keen to tap this booming market and forge significant businesses, joint ventures, marketing tie ups, etc with the buyers visiting the exhibition.
Around 10 Indian IT companies are exhibiting at the India Pavilion in this year’s edition which indicates the growing interests of the Indian companies in the Middle East region, said Vachani.
The products to be displayed at the Internet show include a wide range of applications and IT solutions.
“We are very keen to bring more and more companies to participate in the shows to be held in the UAE and Middle East. And we are very keen to make the presence of Indian IT companies in the UAE,” he added.
The Middle East region is one of the fastest growing IT markets in the world. High growth prevails across all segments, and the market is driven by economic diversification and various e-government initiatives including finance, communications, and manufacturing. The UAE is currently spending $11.4 billion on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and that figure is set to rise to $14.8 billion by 2011.
The Indian ICT industry looks very keen to cater total IT solutions and forge business tie ups, strategic alliances in sectors including telecommunications, utilities, tourism, financial services and real estate segments says Mr Kamal Vachani, Regional Director, Middle East, ESC.
