World's first 4K smartphone – now 'free' for UAE customers

Etisalat announced that it will introduce the latest Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, the world’s first 4K smartphone, for free on attractive smartphone plans to its mobile customers in the UAE.

The devices are available for pre-order starting November 18 on Etisalat’s website.

Available in chrome, gold and black, the new device will be retailed on a standalone basis for Dh2,699.

Post-paid customers in the UAE will have the opportunity to own the new Sony Xperia Z5 Premium device for free through any of Etisalat’s smartphone plans.

The plans include 5GB data, 200 flexi or 500 local minutes for Dh265 on 24-month contract basis; 10GB data, 300 flexi or 1,000 local minutes for Dh400 on 18-month contract basis and 20GB data, 750 flexi or 2,000 local minutes for Dh650 on an 18-month contract basis. Flexi-minutes can be used for local, international and incoming roaming calls.

The new Sony Xperia sports a 5.5” display. It has a 4K Ultra HD display, 23Mbps camera and has a host of Sony’s Handycam technologies, including SteadyShot for stable videos.
