World's first lane for mobile-addict pedestrians; Dubai calling next?

Now, this is a world’s first! China has created a lane dedicated for mobile phone users who cannot put their gadgets down while walking.
A ‘mobile phone lane’ in Dubai would be an instant success, considering how smartphone savvy the residents of the emirate are. It could have a positive impact on the number of accidents on the roads as well. A food for thought for the RTA!
A 100ft-stretch of pavement in the Chinese city of Chongqing has a lane specially coloured for mobile addicts, reports Daily Mail.
The lane has a picture of a phone, the word 'cell phone' written and a thick white line separating it from the rest of the pavement.
Chinese officials, however, was quoted as saying that markings would help remind pedestrians that 'it is best not to play with mobile phones while walking'.
