1st phase of JafzaOne Convention Centre Complex completes

Jafza, the fastest growing Free Zone in the world, today announced the completion of phase one of its state of the art JafzaOne Convention Centre Complex, which is ready to be leased out to customers, and will be ready for delivery on December 1, 2014.

Designed to be one of the UAE’s landmark structures, the Dh2.5 billion JafzaOne is a self-contained business hub, providing companies a single location for all their business needs.

Announcing the completion, CEO Jafza and Economic Zones World, Salma Ali Saif bin Hareb said, “Since its launch in 1985, Jafza has progressed on the path of excellence in creating an unparalleled business and logistics hub. Today, it is part of a unique sea-land-air link within a single custom bonded area. Our state of the art Convention Centre Complex, JafzaOne, is another step on that path of excellence.

“Our aim, in designing the Complex, was to combine all elements of a successful business ecosystem under one roof and to let our customers have all of their business and leisure needs met in a single location.”

Jafza’s production and logistics facilities have evolved over the years from its very beginning, with the introduction of its first buildings in 1985, followed mid-rise office buildings in 1998. In 2008, Jafza inaugurated its high-rise office buildings, Jafza View 18 and 19, followed by showrooms in 2011, with the JafzaOne Convention Centre Complex as the next logical step.

The completion of the first phase of the complex makes available approximately 43,000sq metres of prime leasable space, a 22-outlet food court,  and two levels of car park with over 1,000 individual spaces on each level.

The complex is spread across 72,700sq metre, and comprises two 34-floor twin towers rising 138 metres above ground level. It contains a 320 room luxury four-star hotel, a 606-seat auditorium, a 1,000sq metre banquet hall, 22 meeting and conference rooms and a ready-to-use conference and a 1,500 sq metre exhibition hall, as well as four floors for parking with 4,000 spaces.

Adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road with its own direct access from the main road, JafzaOne’s central location at the heart of the Free Zone serves as the nexus for business communities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, linking them seamlessly with Jebel Ali Port on one end, and Al Maktoum International Airport on the other.

This combination of inspiring workspaces and wide range of amenities make Jafza One a comprehensive business and leisure hub, not only for businesses within the complex, but for companies in the surrounding Free Zone as well.

Incorporating intelligent building design, JafzaOne offers advanced BAS (building Automation Systems), and is readily accessible from all of Dubai’s key residential districts, with road and public transport  links, and a direct link to Sheikh Zayed road, without the need for entering the Free Zone through the main gates.
