Bayt.com @ 15: Crosses 10,000-jobs-a-day milestone

Founded in 2000, jobs site Bayt.com is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The firm has announced a number of milestones achieved in these 15 years. It said that, today, more than 22,750,000 professionals and over 40,000 leading organisations access the job site’s fully-trilingual (Arabia, English, and French) recruitment platform.

Bayt.com said that more than 3 million new members have joined the site in 2015 alone, across several sectors and career profiles.

“Using Bayt.com, Gulf International Bank (GIB) has become much more cost-effective in the recruitment function," said Nawaf Kably, Head of
Recruitment & Staff Benefits, at Gulf International Bank.

“In just one year, Bayt.com has helped us trim the time it takes to close our hiring targets to almost half, and saved approximately $150,000. Bayt.com solutions has especially been a terrific tool that has measurably improved our bottom line and quality of hire,” he said.

Looking back, Bayt.com’s 15-year journey has been punctuated by a slew of milestones and industry ‘firsts’.

2001: Became region’s first bilingual recruitment portal

2003: Launched an application service provider for instant connections between jobs and employees
2004: Launched a CV writing service

2006: Launched professional career coaching. This led to the first Virtual Job Fair in the Middle East

2010: Launched Salaries platform, a salary benchmark and calculator which has since evolved into a salary research tool for both professionals and
companies

2012: Mobile app launched

2013: Launched Bayt.com Specialties, first pan-regional Middle East social career tool
