Dubai's Al Barsha to get new hotel

With the growing number of tourists visiting Dubai for business and leisure, demand for quality hotels is surging along with room rates.

The emirate’s Al Barsha area will soon be home to a new, 228-keys Corp Al Khoory Hotel, which will be managed by HMH (Hospitality Management Holdings), the company said in a media statement today.

HMH has signed a new management contract to operate the Corp Al Khoory Hotel in Al Barsha – Dubai, which is owned by Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory and Sons.

Laurent A. Voivenel, CEO, HMH, said: “We are thrilled to have an opportunity to operate another fantastic hotel in Dubai for Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory and Sons. We are delighted to build on our strong relationship with the Al Khoory family for whom we already manage two superb properties namely Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments – Dubai and Corp Executive Al Khoory Hotel – Al Wasl and are truly grateful to them for having given us this latest project. Their exceptional experience in developing quality hotels will help us deliver yet another fabulous address for travellers to Dubai.”

Scheduled to open in first quarter of 2016, Corp Al Khoory Hotel in Al Barsha – Dubai will be located in Al Barsha and will feature all standard facilities. The property will offer multiple F&B outlets, including an international all-day-dining restaurant and a lobby lounge. It will also house a conference hall as well as a superb spa and swimming pool.

Laurent added: “The hotel enjoys a prime location and is being designed to provide customers a value proposition they have come to expect from the Corp brand. The hotel’s contemporary style and mix of leisure and business services and amenities will serve to attract both families and corporate guests.”

Dubai has seen strong growth in the number of business and leisure tourists. According to Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing the number of international visitors grew by almost 9.8 per cent year-on-year to surpass 7.9 million visitors in first nine months of 2013, driving demand for hotels in the city. Dubai’s Tourism Vision for 2020 is to double its annual visitor numbers from 10 million in 2012 to 20 million in 2020.
