Emirates Transport posts Dh1.5bn revenues in 2013

Emirates General Transport and Services Corporation has reported total revenues of Dh1.5 billion for 2013 maintaining an annual growth rate of 18 per cent over the past five years, the federal government corporation has announced in its annual report for 2013.

Emirates Transport also reported total assets of approximately Dh2 billion for 2013.

The report – titled “Growth and Sustainability” and marks 32 years of the corporation's work – says the corporation which now has 800 clients from the public and private sectors signed 218 new major contracts and investment agreements with strategic partners in 2013.

 The transport and services corporation attributed the results to the efforts of its 13,600 employees working at 41 sites across UAE and to its fleet of 13,500 buses and vehicles.

In its 200-page report, Emirates Transport reiterated its commitment to enhancing its role as a federal government department in the service of all segments of the society in line with the farsightedness and vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for empowering the country's public sector to achieve excellence in terms of systems, performance, services and results in line with UAE Vision 2021, a master plan launched in February 2010 with the ultimate goal of making UAE among the best countries in the world by 2021.
