Dubai-based budget carrier flydubai is looking to hire pilots for its growing fleet of aircraft and destinations. Interested applicants can go on the company website and register.

“If you’re selected to go on to the next stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment days in the UK or you can choose to attend one of our forthcoming pilot selection events,” says the company.

The forthcoming events will be held on 12th April 2013 at Global Pilot Career Conference and Job Fair, Tuscany Suites & Casino, 255 East Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas – USA; 6th - 9th May 2013 in Miami, USA and 13th - 16th May 2013 in Las Vegas, USA.

First officers at the airline make approximately Dh39,500 per month (tax free) plus other benefits like private medical and dental insurance for self and subsidised cover for spouse and up to 3 children, personal accident/life insurance covering up to 24 months of the basic salary, loss of licence insurance for up to 24 months of the basic salary, 42 days annual leave, free airline tickets for self, spouse and up to 3 children to annual leave destination, end of service benefits in line with UAE labour law and financial support for children’s education for a maximum of three children aged between 4 and 18 years in full-time education.

Pilots already rated on the aircraft will be subject to a non-contributory training bond of $24,000 which will depreciate in equal amounts over a period of 36 months, and non-rated pilots will be subject to a non-contributory training bond of $36,000 depreciating in equal amounts over a period of 36 months.

All pilots who work for flydubai should be fluent in English to ICAO level 4 or above. They should hold a ICAO ATPL certificate, a 1st Class Medical certificate from ICAO and eligible for a UAE residency visa.

All initial pilot assessment activity takes place at CTC’s Crew Selection Centre in the UK with successful applicants being invited to Dubai for final interview.

Candidates invited to an initial assessment in the UK attend at their own expense but, if successful, flydubai will provide a return ticket from an Emirates Airline network destination to Dubai for the final interview phase. flydubai will also provide hotel accommodation in Dubai for candidates during this final stage, states the carrier.
