Bruton’s speech will address the fundamental economic, market and regulatory challenges facing financial institutions around the world, and the adjustments they are having to make. He will also focus on developments in the European Union and Ireland that are of relevance to the Middle East.

The conference will also be addressed by Sultan Al Suweidi, Governor of the UAE Central Bank, reflecting the close working relationship and regular consultation on key issues affecting the banking sector and its development that exists between the Central Bank and the UAE Banks Federation.

Other principal speakers at the one day conference include Christos Papadopoulos, Regional Chief Executive Officer for Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, Standard Chartered Bank, Redmond Ramsdale, Director, Financial Institutions, Fitch Ratings, ZulfiCaarHydari, Chief Executive, European Islamic Investment Bank and Khalid Howladar, Senior Credit Officer of Moody’s.

The Forum is by invitation only and is aimed at leaders of UAE Banks Federation member institutions as well as top tier representatives of regional and international banks and other organisations serving and operating in the UAE’s financial sector.
