Montaudouin is new CEO of Al Rostamani Group

Al Rostamani Group, one of the oldest and largest business conglomerates in the UAE, on Sunday announced the appointment of François de Montaudouin as its Chief Executive Officer.

“Over the last few months we have searched diligently for the ideal candidate to join our group as CEO and I am very pleased to have François de Montaudouin join us. He has had a diversified and successful career both internationally and in the UAE, and brings with him the ideal blend of international and regional experience," said Marwan Al Rostamani, Chairman of Al Rostamani Group.

Montaudouin brings to Al Rostamani Group more than 25 years of financial investment, strategic planning and management experience, including leadership positions in diversified holdings and retail groups.

He has also served on various boards including Générale de Santé, the leading provider of private hospital healthcare services in France, of Banijay Holding, a European-based TV production group,  and of Société Privée de Gestion et de Conseil, a financial asset management company.

He has also held the position of CEO of Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim Group from 2004 until 2007, whereby under his leadership, the group developed very successful projects amongst which the award winning properties Mall of the Emirates and Ski Dubai.

At Al Rostamani Group, Montaudouin’s responsibilities will be to grow and consolidate the business, as well as implement the group’s strategic goals and objectives. He will give direction and leadership towards the achievement of the group’s philosophy, mission, strategy along with its annual goals and objectives.

Montaudouin will also work with the group’s board to fulfil its governance functions.

Montaudouin said: “I have been following the Al Rostamani Group’s progress for some time and look forward to achieving our goals and expanding the business in its various sectors and industries.”

François de Montaudouin is a French citizen with a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from Paris Dauphine University, and a Pmd from Harvard Business School.
