Abu Dhabi-based luxury flight services company Royal Jet has launched a brokerage business to provide third-part flight services worldwide, said a senior official.

The company will cater to customers in markets where it doesn’t have presence, said Shane Jeffree O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet.

He said the airline – which has 12 aircraft – will add an aircraft each year over the next two years but has not yet finalized the deal with any of the manufacturers.

“There was also the re-introduction into the fleet of our flagship Boeing Business Jet at the end of 2010 following a $15 million refurbishment programme,” said O’Hare.

The company has also established an operational base in Saudi Arabia and also appointed General Sales Agreements in Oman, Kuwait, UK and India.

O’Hare said the flight hours showed an increase of 30 per cent in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year, helping to drive up revenues by 32 per cent.
