Abu Dhabi-based utility company National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) has reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of Dh35 million ($9.53m) for the June-September quarter against Dh23.64m for the corresponding period last year.

Net profit for the nine-month period stood at Dh115.7m against Dh53.74 million for the comparable period last year, according to a company statement.

Third quarter revenue rose to Dh278.6m against Dh196.91m, and for the nine-month period it increased to 710.89m against Dh570.70m for the corresponding period last year, according to the financial statement posted on the DFM website.

In March, Abu Dhabi investment vehicle Mubadala, which owns a 16.7 per cent stake in the district cooling firm, stepped in to offer bridge financing after Tabreed reported a loss in 2009.
