Rolls-Royce sales in the UAE more than doubled this July on the back of new launches and a successful Ramadan campaign that further helped boost consumer spending, according to a media statement by its UAE dealer.

AGMC, the official BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, said it witnessed its best-ever July numbers with a sales increase of 22 per cent for its BMW and Mini brands and 117 per cent for Rolls-Royce.

The month-high comes on the back of a successful Ramadan campaign that further helped boost consumer spending, it noted.

“Our July sales results are testament to the great new range of models we introduced during the first several months of the year, and our best-sellers that continue to remain in high demand,” said Osman Abdelmoneim, General Manager, AGMC.

“Other contributing factors included our Ramadan sales promotions and our on-going ‘Full Speed Ahead’ campaign which is dedicated to improving customers experience by providing quality and new services which enhance their experience,” he said.

The best-selling BMW model throughout July was the BMW 5 Series which saw sales increase 18 per cent, followed by the new BMW X5 that was recently introduced into the market. Another contributing factor was the all-new BMW 4 Series product range, which comprises the 4 Series Coupé, 4 Series Gran Coupé and 4 Series Convertible, said AGMC.

Mini had a successful month with the Countryman, the first four-wheel drive Mini and the all new Hatch performing as best-sellers.

Meanwhile, the Rolls-Royce best-sellers included the Wraith, which the company claims as the most potent and technologically advanced Rolls-Royce in history, followed by the Phantom and Ghost models.

During July, AGMC also welcomed the all-new BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car. Meanwhile the Rolls-Royce family added a new edition with the arrival of the redesigned Ghost Series II.

“It’s been a very busy first half year and we will continue to go ‘Full Speed Ahead’ during the remainder of the year as we have a number of launches still to come. These include the new five-door Mini Hatch and the all-new X4 and X6 which will all add to the X family success story.”
