Dubai: Dubai Airports (DA) has been recognised as a 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) winner, placing the organisation among a select group of global employers achieving the highest levels of employee engagement.
Dubai Airports ranked in the 77th percentile in the benchmark, with an employee engagement score of 74%, up from 71% in 2025, reflecting a notable improvement.
The GEWA is considered one of the most rigorous workplace distinctions, awarded to organisations that meet high standards in engagement and strengths development and demonstrate how investing in people leads to meaningful organisational outcomes.
Gallup’s latest Global Database includes 27.6 million respondents and more than 6,000 clients across over 200 countries.
Dubai Airports is a two-time consecutive recipient of the award and the only airport included in the 2026 winners list. The recognition follows a milestone year in which Dubai International (DXB) recorded its highest annual passenger traffic and retained its position as the world’s busiest international airport for the 12th consecutive year.
Meshari Al Bannai, Chief People Officer of Dubai Airports, said the award highlights how leadership, workforce development, and employee empowerment directly shape airport performance and customer experience.
He added that employee engagement is embedded across operations, supported by initiatives to develop future leaders, strengthen national talent, and foster a culture of accountability, service, and innovation.
Dubai Airports is also investing in future skills as part of the development of Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), integrating artificial intelligence across learning and development programmes.
The organisation has introduced AI-driven platforms, including microlearning tools, AI coaching, and simulation-based training to enhance operational readiness.
Dubai Airports’ people strategy focuses on building capabilities and strengthening national talent pipelines while providing clear development pathways for both Emirati and international employees.
