Dubai, India trade in H1 2016 stood at about Dh48 billion

Dubai Customs has revealed that India came the second trading partner for Emirate of Dubai in the first half of 2016, as the value of non-oil foreign trade between Dubai and India stood at about Dh48 billion, accounting for 7 percent of Dubai's total non-oil foreign trade during same period.

The volume of Dubai's non-oil foreign trade amounted to Dh647 billion in the same period.

According to the Dubai Customs statement received by Emirates News Agency, WAM, Dubai's foreign trade with India in the H1 of 2016 included imports worth Dh29 billion, exports valued at Dh6 billion and re-exports worth Dh13 billion.

Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Senior Manager, Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Dubai Customs, said that that the Customs is keen to support Dubai's foreign trade with India to strengthen the role of Dubai as an international and regional hub for international trade.
