Mashreq has announced that it can open a customer account and give a chip-enabled debit cards in just 30 minutes. The debit cards are personalised.
This is a first of its kind, it said.
“For today’s customers time is of the essence and Mashreq’s endeavor is to provide superior, never-before services that exceed customer expectations. The innovative and instant issuance of a bank account and a linked debit card sets a whole new standard which will impart tremendous benefits to time crunched customers in terms of convenience and relevance,” said Nimish Dwivedi, Head of Personal Banking, Mashreq.
Shaker Zainal, Head of Distribution, Mashreq said, “The response for the instant banking service has been overwhelming and we have ensured to invest in training our staff to offer the best banking experience to our customers. We will be expanding it to other branches to accommodate the growing financial needs of our customers and build on the success of this initiative.”
Mashreq’s 30 minutes instant banking is available in two key branches; Muraqabat and Dubai Internet City.
The new service will be extended to 15 additional branches by the end of the year making this benefit even more accessible for Mashreq’s customers.
