The Board of Directors of Commercial Bank International (CBI) declared the appointment of Kris Babicci as the Chief Executive Officer In its meeting held on 23 June 2011 in Ras Al Khaimah.
Having worked within the banking and finance Sectors, Babicci has 35 years of experience in the Financial Markets, including as the CEO of Bank Dhofar in Oman and Standard Chartered in Qatar.
Mohamed Sultan Al Qadi, Chairman, CBI, said “With significant senior banking experience and a strong track record, Kris’s appointment will continue to drive CBI's momentum by expanding the business, developing the product range and delivering exceptional performance. I am confident that under his leadership, the bank will achieve unprecedented success, and will further enhance its presence in the UAE market in line with customer needs, market requirements and its defined objectives."
Babicci said he will work towards developing the performance of the bank in accordance with the banking market in the UAE and the GCC. Moreover, he will enhance the customer base relationships and support the workforce with the necessary skills and competencies to enable Commercial Bank International to achieve greater success in the future.
