CBD sponsors ICAI seminar in Abu Dhabi

Commercial Bank of Dubai has said it was proud to support the silver jubilee seminar of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), organised by ICAI’s Abu Dhabi Chapter.
In a media statement, CBD said that the sponsorship of the seminar, titled ‘Excellence – the Path to Success’, was in keeping with Commercial Bank of Dubai’s leadership position as a responsible corporate citizen, and in line with its endeavour to promote knowledge-sharing among professionals in the UAE.
The seminar, organised by the Abu Dhabi Chapter of the ICAI, was graced by Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, Governor of Central Bank of the UAE, as the Chief Guest. The prestigious event was held in Abu Dhabi, and was attended by a host of esteemed guests and prominent speakers.

Thomas Pereira, CBD’s Chief Financial Officer, addressed an audience of more than 650 industry-leading CEOs, CFOs, financial and management professionals who saw a number of experts share their excellence secrets and brainstorm over one-and-a-half days in six power-packed sessions, including two panel discussions.
Pereira was part of a panel of local and international CFOs who took part in the panel discussion titled ‘CFOs Path to CEO’. The two-day event also saw keynote addresses by the Chief Guest, as well as by Air Arabia CEO Adel Abdullah Ali, and Gulf Capital’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner Karim El-Solh, among others.
