Dubai-based retail major Al Maya Group plans to increase its imports from the US as it looks to expand its operations across the UAE.

“Al Maya Group imports a large number of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) from the United States of America and wants to expand its products portfolio from the US as we’re looking to open more supermarkets,” said Group Director, Kamal Vachani.

Vachani said this during a visit of Paul Malik, Consul General, Consulate General of the United States of America, Dubai, to Al Maya Group’s latest Supermarket in Dubai. Quintin Gray, Agricultural Counselor at the US Consulate in Dubai, also accompanied the visiting delegation.

The two also discussed ways to further enhance trade between US companies and Al Maya Group.

Al Maya Group currently operates more than 40 supermarkets across the UAE and GCC.
