Dubai to get region's 12th City Centre next month

Dubai’s Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) will open the doors of City Centre Me’aisem in International Media Production Zone (iMPZ) on September 1, 2015, it said in a press statement.

The 12th City Centre in the region, City Centre Me’aisem will cater to the needs of its 11 surrounding communities, offering a retail mix comprising fashion, food and beverages, entertainment as well as service outlets, some of which are making their debut in the Middle East.

Named after its location in the Me’aisem area of iMPZ, the mall is situated in the growth corridor of Dubai at the intersection of Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.

City Centre Me’aisem is built on 325,000 square feet, comprising 23,850 square metres of gross leasable area and is spread on a one-level mall.

Majid Al Futtaim has presence in 13 markets, employing over 27,000 people, and achieving credit rating of BBB.

It owns and operates 17 shopping malls, 11 hotels and three mixed-use communities in Mena. The company holds rights to the Carrefour franchise in 38 markets across Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, operating a portfolio of over 60 hypermarkets and over 70 supermarkets in 13 countries.

It also operates 143 VOX Cinema screens and 18 Magic Planet family entertainment centres across the region.
