Etisalat sponsors SME evolution programme

Etisalat on Sunday announced it is sponsoring Potential’s Small and Medium Enterprise Evolution Program (SMEEP), Season 5.

The programme is a platform to offer best practice advice and practical support to existing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the UAE and consists of live webinar training sessions and live workshops over a five-month period. It also offers content, tools, promotional deals and resources that can be accessed on www.Potential.com.

This initiative is free of charge to all SMEs in the UAE and is designed to empower business enterprises in the country to compete more effectively in the international market place. Dubai SME, Tecom, Khalifa Fund have also been government partners during this period. 

By sponsoring this programme in the UAE, Etisalat will be helping to enable the participants to take advantage of free access to invaluable training and development courses, which include 13 webinars, available in English, French, and Arabic, in addition to live events delivered by keynote speakers, who are all experts in their field. The webinars and live events will cover various practical business topics such as strategy, innovation, business planning, financing, among others. There will also be a number of live workshops, which will focus on business expansion and Information Communication Technology.

Upcoming workshops in the UAE will take place on June 24 in Abu Dhabi and June 25 in Dubai. By the end of the programme, registered SMEs will benefit from gaining business expertise, exposure, access to finance and more.

Ayman Eldessouky Chief Sales Officer, in a press release, said: "Etisalat has always strived to provide best-in-class solutions for our business users. We have recently restated our commitment to the SME sector through our Business Ultimate package of four tariffs to suit all SMEs from the smallest to the largest, enabling our SME customers to lower capital expenses, economise on international calling charges and also equip their staff with the latest smart devices to increase productivity at zero upfront cost. Our involvement in the SME Evolution Programme is a further expression of our devotion to the SME sector."

The programme will provide participants with access to Potential’s ever-growing social networks, which will serve as an extension of their business on digital platforms. This will allow SMEs to network with their peers both within the UAE and internationally with participants from other countries in which the programme, is being held. Participants also benefit from special SME-focused business offers, including access to finance, which is a big need for many.

This spring rollout is part of a wider SME development initiative, which will see the latest program run concurrently in 29 different countries across the emerging markets region. Other participating countries included are Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Ghana and South Africa.
