International Coffee & Tea Festival kicks off in Dubai tomorrow

The International Coffee & Tea Festival, the only dedicated trade event for the coffee and tea industry in the Arab world, begins tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Meydan IMAX Gallery in Dubai.

Running until November 9, 2013, the fifth edition of the event will showcase quality-driven products, services, trends and technological advancements in the production, storage and distribution of specialty coffee and tea.

The annual event is tailored to cater to both consumers and suppliers. It features several exciting industry-relevant programs such as the 5th Barista Championship and the 2nd Latte Art Championship, which are UAE’s only national Coffee Championships. The winner of the National Barista Championship will represent the UAE at the 2014 World Barista Championship to be held in Rimini, Italy from 9 -12 June.  

The festival will also host Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) Certified Training programs, featuring a series of trainings and workshops on topics ranging from Coffee Grading and Evaluation to Coffee Preparation with emphasis on craft roasting techniques.

The International Coffee & Tea Festival will be held from 11 am to 7 pm on November 6th, 7th and 9th and from 3 pm to 10 pm on November 8th 2013, and will be open to ages 18 and above.
