More than two million tourists from the Gulf region visited Germany in the first 11 months of last year, according to German National Tourist Office.

“2015 was especially successful in attracting visitors from this region, with over 2 million overnight stays recorded,” said Maria Amaral, Director of the Marketing & Sales Office of the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in the Gulf region.

The German National Tourism Board (GNTB) also hosted roadshows which began in Kuwait and concluded in Dubai on the 24th, passing by the UAE capital Abu Dhabi. This year’s roadshow witnesses the participation of 18 partners among them: Wiesbaden Marketing GmbH, Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main, and Fraport participating as premium partners.

“The show highlights our commitment to this region, which occupies a center stage in our plans and initiatives. We want visitors from the GCC region to think of Germany as a premium destination for their travels, as evident in the large number of tourism specialists taking part in the show,” she explained.
