UAE deals worth Dh4 bn at Idex

The UAE Armed Forces awarded defence contracts to the tune of Dh4 billion on the fourth day of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (Idex), Major General Obaid Al Ketbi, chairman of the organising committee for Idex 2013 announced on Wednesday at the show's daily press briefing.

On Tuesday, 19 deals worth Dh4.9 billion were signed between UAE Armed Forces and various companies, both local and foreign.

On Monday, 17 contracts for purchase of drones, missiles and military vehicles worth a total of Dh5.2 billion were signed at Idex.
