Ahmed has held a number of key roles since he joined Zurich in 2008 and has successfully driven Zurich’s Global Corporate proposition portfolio strategy and implemented numerous propositions over multiple geographies. Prior to joining Zurich, he held a variety of senior roles within Marsh over a career with them that spanned 16 years on both sides of the Atlantic. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and was also a Lloyds and New York licensed broker.

In announcing the appointment, Saad Mered and Thomas Hürlimann noted: “Umron has a broad range of experience, a proven track record and is extremely well qualified to lead our Global Corporate business to even greater success in one of Zurich’s fastest growing regions.”
