'VIP Centre' for businessmen opens at Al Twar in Dubai

A ‘VIP Centre’ was opened at Al Twar Centre on Tuesday to enable businessmen and investors complete procedures relating to business registration and licensing from a single location without having to wait in queues or visit different government offices.

The centre was opened by Sami Al Qamzi, Director General, Department of Economic Development (DED); Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs; and Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts.

The centre, which aims to facilitate procedures and save time for businessmen and investors, has been opened in line with the directives of the leadership in Dubai to enhance the emirate’s position as a preferred place to do business and invest. Visitors to the centre can complete procedures relating to business licences, visas and notary attestations in minimal time.

Sami Al Qamzi said the VIP Centre reflects the concerted efforts being put in by government agencies in Dubai to spread a culture of customer service excellence.

"Dubai has generated widespread interest among business leaders and investors in recent years, leading to an influx of major international firms seeking to expand regionally and globally. We are happy to be part of the VIP Centre and provide outstanding services to this high profile companies and investors, especially such varied services under a single roof," said Al Qamzi.

"DED aims to enrich and develop the services available in the economic sector in Dubai. Excellence and quality being maintained across service delivery is one of the key factors differentiating economic activity in Dubai and driving economic development in the emirate. Ultimately, it is contributing to enhancing the local business environment as well as Dubai’s leadership in customer service,” added Al Qamzi.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri stressed on the need to redouble efforts in pursuing performance excellence and improving quality of public services.

“In line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to ensure better services to the public, the Government of Dubai is committed to provide all the required tools and human resources to improve service quality, while also promoting co-operation among government agencies to expedite service delivery,” said Major General Al Marri.

Taresh Eid Al Mansouri said the new VIP Centre is well-aligned with the 2016-2019 strategy of Dubai Courts, which aims at achieving world class service standards and customer happiness.  "We will ensure that visitors to the VIP Centre get fast, reliable and comprehensive services in a comfortable environment.”
